The Gopher State Timing Association's 45th Annual Rod & Custom
car spectacular has always been a treat for anyone wild about
power and speed, but this year's event promised to deliver a little
extra helping of raw power.
Ky "ROCKETMAN" Michaelson and his astounding collection of custom engineered , rocket powered vehicles were the feature attraction of the weekend.Ky had his rocket powered go-cart, snowmobile, street luge and yes...the infamous rocket powered "wheelchair" Ky used the special event to debut his Civilian Space "X"ploration Teams 2001 SpaceShot rocket.The CSXT team came within a whisper of becoming the first civilians to put a rocket into space last year and they plan on making that dream a reality this year. Besides the vehicles, Ky had his rare space artifacts and memorabilia on display for the first time ever. Click links below to see the polished up machines that were displayed. |
