Advertising & Article Contributions

We have provided the following information to try and answer your questions pertaining to the production and publication of High Power Rocket News. If you don't get the answer that you need, please feel free to email your question to our publication department.

 When is HPRN published?  HPRN will be published monthly with updates posted as we get them. Feature articles will be published in monthly increments.
How do I contribute material for publication?  You may send your articles, graphics, photos and other electronic media by email to the publication department (rob@spacestar.com) Either attach the files to an email message. Articles should be in MS Word or simpletext format. Graphics should be in the GIF or JPEG format. If you prefer to send your material thru the post office, send your article on a floppy disk and we can scan your photos. Items submitted to HPRN for publication or advertisement are subject to approval by the editing staff. Sorry, materials can not be returned.

 

Is Advertising in HPRN really FREE?

You bet! Anyone contributing publishable material to HPRN can advertise for free! Plus, if you have a website, HPRN will post a link to your site.

Feature articles, photos, graphics, questions, editorial and news all qualify as publishable material. Items submitted to HPRN for publication or advertisement are subject to approval by the editing staff.

 How do I send my ad for placement in HPRN?

 Anyone contributing publishable material to HPRN can advertise in this magazine. You must design your own ad and submit it electronically by email or send it to our publications department on disk. The specs are as follows:

  • interlaced GIF format only
  • 468 pixels wide x 60 pixels deep
  • 72 dpi
  • Map files not accepted
  • Animated GIF 89 are acceptable. Loop must stop after 4 seconds

 Does HPRN require a subscription?  No, not at this time. We may establish a FREE password registration system in the future in order to keep accurate accounts of our readership and to provide access to discounted or sale priced items reserved for registered readers only.
 When is the deadline for contributed materials?  You can submit materials for publication at anytime. Feature articles must be submitted by the 22nd of the previous month. For example, articles for the January issue must be to the publication department by December 22nd or they may not get published until the Febraury issue.
